I was having a conversation with my friend and she lightheartedly told me about how a few months ago at a kickback, when the lights went off one of our male friends was drunk and got behind her, took his penis out, and rested it on her butt. He did this all while everyone was around and no one noticed because of how dark it was and how discrete he made it. She was drunk as well and did not know how to react so she said she just stood there in disbelief and eventually came to her senses and walked away without causing a scene. While telling me this story I realized that she didn’t see the severity in what happened to her. I asked her, “did you want him to do that?” And she jokingly replied, “why the hell would I want a nigga to put his limp noodle dick on my fashion nova jeans?” So I asked her, “do you know that what happened to you was sexual assault?” And she said, “what’s that?” I then confronted my male friend the next day and said, “did you know what you did while you were drunk at the kickback last month is considered sexual assault and you could go to jail for that?” to which he also replied, “how is that sexual assault I didn’t rape her nor did I hit her. I didn’t force her to do anything and it was just a joke”
It’s time to address the amount of grown ass men in college and the real world that sexually assault a girl and genuinely don’t think what they’re did is sexual assault or dare I say even know what the definition of sexual assault is.
It’s also time to address the amount of women that have been sexually assaulted but don’t even know that what happened to them was sexual assault.
All forms of assault need to be taught in schools, by parents, friends, mentors. We have to hold each other accountable because It’s really concerning how many people come to college and genuinely do not know basic sex Ed.

The girl used to always act iffy around him and say “he’s a bad guy” then I finally got down to asking him, why she was like that, and what he described was basically sexual assault, (which I told him it was) but he completely denied and said it wasn’t.

and now, she’s kissed a 19 year old american idol contestant, which is not only unprofessional, but he said that it was without his consent and that it made him uncomfortable, and that even if she had asked for his consent first, he would have said no. but instead of taking it seriously and firing her, people (especially men) are telling him to “get over it” and that “at least you got kissed by katy perry” and she gets to keep her job. if it was a man kissing a 19 year old girl contestant, people would demanding that he get fired, and they would probably do so, no questions asked.
